German Centre’s Daffney Guey Selected for LeadingAge MA Leadership Academy
Daffney Guey, Director of Life Enrichment at German Centre Senior Living, has been accepted into the LeadingAge MA Leadership Academy, class of 2027. This prestigious nine-month development program is designed to help emerging leaders grow into confident, resilient, and mission-driven professionals in aging services.
“Being part of the LeadingAge Leadership Academy is a terrific opportunity for me, especially as I continue to grow into my role as Director of Life Enrichment,” said Guey. “Coming from an activities background, I want to keep learning and building my skills in leadership, management, and team building. I hope to apply what I learn to support my team, strengthen teamwork and communication, and continue creating meaningful programs and experiences for our residents and the community.”
Designed specifically for professionals in aging services, the Academy helps participants identify their leadership strengths, deepen their emotional intelligence, and develop the skills needed to lead with purpose and impact. The program provides opportunities to learn from fellow professionals and exchange ideas that can benefit their organizations and the people they serve.
“Daffney is an excellent candidate for the Leadership Academy because she possesses the qualities that distinguish strong leaders: integrity, initiative, adaptability, and a genuine desire to serve others,” said Sean O’Grady, Executive Director of German Centre. “She plays an integral role in our organization.”
For Guey, the Academy represents an opportunity to continue growing professionally while bringing new perspectives and ideas back to German Centre. “I see this as a wonderful opportunity to gain experience within my career, learn from other leaders, and bring new ideas back to my team and the community we serve,” Guey added.
Congratulations to Daffney on this exciting professional achievement!
