Set on a scenic 14-acre campus, we offer restaurant-style dining, life enrichment activities, and activities of daily living support when needed in an apartment setting. Our community offers the opportunity to make new friends, enjoy three chef-prepared meals per day, and be within a short walk of the surrounding, thriving West Roxbury community. Additionally, Edelweiss Village is nestled into a full continuum campus, providing support for future needs. At Edelweiss Village, you can maintain your independence while still having additional support when needed.

Respite, Short Stay

If you or your loved one needs advanced care on a temporary basis, our respite program can help.

With our respite program, you can experience our skilled nursing homes and assisted living residences for a short stay. We provide a comfortable, fully furnished apartment that may help with a transition home from a hospital or rehab stay.

Caregiver fatigue or scheduling conflicts might also require a respite stay. This program allows caregivers to take time for themselves with full confidence that their loved one is in good hands. Our temporary residents can enjoy our amenities, meals, and activities as a sort of vacation of their own.

A respite stay can also assist families by convincing their loved one that Deutsches Altenheim is a viable option for long-term care. They’ll be able to experience the center and get to know our skilled staff over their short stay and may begin to feel at home by the end of their visit.
