Every Step Counts: A Heartfelt Thank You

Our “Stepping Up for Seniors” Walkathon on Saturday, April 18 was a tremendous success, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make it so meaningful. Together, we raised over $33,000 in support of the residents and programs at German Centre.

A special thank you to the Roxbury Latin School 9th-grade students, whose energy and dedication remain at the heart of this event. The boys raised nearly $11,000 through their own efforts, an extraordinary achievement. Thanks to the return of our generous matching donor, $5,000 of their contributions were fully matched.

We are equally grateful to our corporate partners, who joined us in strong support this year. With The Cooperative Bank serving as our lead sponsor, we also thank Applied Form & Space LLC, Atlantic Charter Insurance Co., Inc., Elge Plumbing & Heating Co., Geriatric Medical, HPC Food Service, LC Anderson, Louis J. Brudnick & Sons, Minuteman Press, Parkway Driving School LLC, Procare LTC, and Roche Bros. Supermarkets for their generous sponsorship.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to our Board of Trustees for their participation this year, and to all who formed teams, made gifts, and walked alongside us. Every contribution—large and small—helped move us forward.

Proceeds from the students’ fundraising will once again support our Music Therapy Program, while all other funds will benefit broader programming and services that enhance daily life for those in our care.

Thank you for stepping up for our seniors. We look forward to continuing to grow this special tradition together.
