Living with COPD/Chronic Lung Disease

Deutsches Alteneheim launches its Healthy Living Speaker Series with a presentation by Dr. Scott Lewis Schissel about Living with COPD/Chronic Lung Disease. Dr. Schissel will examine the basic causes and symptoms of chronic lung diseases, like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and pulmonary fibrosis, and review basic treatment options and strategies to minimize respiratory symptoms and maintain exercise endurance and quality of life.

Dr. Scott Lewis Schissel is Chief of the Department of Medicine at Brigham & Women’s Faulkner Hospital, a physician at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and part-time instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Schissel’s clinical research examines a wide variety of pulmonary diseases and abnormalities.
