German Centre for Extended Care has earned a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
CMS uses the Five-Star Quality Rating System to help consumers, their families, and caregivers find the best skilled nursing communities for their particular needs. The Nursing Home Compare website features a quality rating system that gives each nursing home a rating between 1 and 5 stars. A 5-star rating, the highest level possible, is an indicator of superior care. The five stars earned by German Centre assure the public that it ranks among the state’s best skilled nursing communities.
Ratings are based on three categories: results from onsite Dept. of Public Health inspections, performance on certain clinical quality measures, and nurse staffing levels. Within these three categories, German Centre scores are compared to the average within the state of Massachusetts and the national average.
