Claudia Mahan Appointed Chief Development Officer of German Centre

German Centre Inc., a highly respected leader in caring for seniors, is pleased to announce that Claudia Mahan has joined the organization. In her role as Chief Development Officer, Ms. Mahan will design and lead the nonprofit’s fundraising and development activities. German Centre is affiliated with Legacy Lifecare, a network of nonprofit organizations, of which DA is a member.

“We are thrilled to have Claudia Mahan on our leadership team,” said Genevieve MacLellan, President of the Board of Trustees of German Centre. “Claudia exhibits a visionary and collaborative approach to building a culture of philanthropy. Moreover, her deep experience in the inner workings of best-practice fundraising programs, along with her passion for working with colleagues, volunteer leaders, patients, residents, and families, is a tremendous asset to our organization.”

Claudia brings to the position 16 years of progressive experience in philanthropy, most recently as Senior Major Gifts Officer at Spaulding Rehabilitation. Previously Claudia was a member of the philanthropy team at the Museum of Fine Arts, supporting its $500 million fundraising campaign.

Born and raised in Germany and fluent in the language, Claudia appreciates the organization’s commitment to preserving her cultural heritage. Her alignment with German Centre is further strengthened by her experience in raising funds for care delivered in community settings.

Claudia holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mary Baldwin College. She also studied International Business at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, as well as African Studies and Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna. Claudia resides in Wakefield, MA.
