Important Notice to Families
Dear Residents, Families, and Friends,
On Monday, July 12, German Centre received notification from one of our contracted providers that one of their staff members tested positive for COVID-19. The provider had been working with and visited one Schrafft Pavilion resident. The test-positive individual has no COVID-19 symptoms.
In accordance with CMS guidelines, German Centre has initiated outbreak testing of ALL German Centre residents, patients, and staff, regardless of their vaccination status.
What this means for you
Until test results have been received (approximately 48 hours after submission), indoor visitation to ALL areas has been suspended. If no positive test results are received after the first round of testing, visitation of non-affected areas (Anna Bauer and Ludwig Transitional Care Unit) may resume.
Schrafft Pavilion – the affected area – will continue to follow outbreak testing protocol and indoor visitations will be suspended until July 26, 2021. Family members may schedule outdoor visits via our website at: www.germancentre.org/schedule-a-time/german-centre/.
Our mission has been, and always will be, to provide the highest quality care possible to each and every resident and patient. These protocols are in place to protect the health and safety of all who enter our campus. We ask that you continue to bear with us as we navigate this challenging disruption in our return to normalcy.
Please visit our website at www.germancentre.org for any updates about testing protocols and visitation guidelines.
