Maintenance Worker Per diem

We are seeking individuals that take pride in delivering excellence in serving others, especially our elderly population.

Position Summary:

The maintenance worker will maintain and repair the facility’s equipment and buildings

Duties:

  • Routinely inspects facility, troubleshoots and makes repairs to the mechanical, electrical, air conditioning and plumbing systems, as well as any structural elements on the property
  • Paints interior/exterior of the facility
  • Installs and check batteries of smoke alarms
  • Participates in preventive maintenance and records the necessary information
  • Removes furniture from rooms no longer occupied, and assists in room transfers
  • Relocates offices or departments, including disassembling and reassembling of furniture or equipment
  • Completes all tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Entry level
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, proper body mechanics required bending, stooping, turning, stretching, reaching above the shoulders and lifting are involved
  • Must have the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, support agencies, and outside agencies
  • Must be able to lift and carry maintenance equipment

Hours: Per diem
