What is Assisted Living?
Assisted living is a residential option that promotes self-direction and participation in decisions regarding care and services. As a model of supportive senior housing, assisted living emphasizes independence, individuality, privacy, dignity, and choice in your own apartment.
Why choose Assisted Living instead of at Home Nursing Care?
With at home nursing services, seniors are limited in their home care options and are unable to experience the extra care opportunities offered to assisted living communities. Home care does not provide a senior community where residents can enjoy independent living in addition to the personal one-on-one care they would receive with home nursing.
How do I know if Assisted Living is the right choice?
Most assisted living residents are in their mid-80s and need assistance with basic activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing. Assisted living provides the support needed, allowing seniors to remain as independent as possible.
